Tim McGraw just gets better and better! There is not a 'skipper' on the entire cd!

Never was a country fan but just recently, I find myself loving Tim McGraw. Just purchased several of his CDS and this one is my favorite! I am moved to tears by the song Mr. Whoever You Are! That is a sign of a great song! I also find myself singing along to tunes i.e. If I Died Today! Yeah, buy it.

I've been a Tim McGraw fan since Indian Outlaw, and this CD is an excellent effort from a great artist.

Southern Voice is a solid country album with an addictive sound but with lyrics that are consistently depressing. The following scenarios are covered in the lyrics: death (multiple songs), a factory worker engaging in numerous one-night relationships, visiting an absentee father in prison, murder/suicide on the train tracks, a girlfriend leaving, wondering how the years slipped by, saying goodbye to family, overspending money on a girl, and what would happen if you died (including who would view your body at the funeral home).

this is by far the worst tim mcgraw album yet. i own them all and was disappointed by this one. it seems as if there was no time taken to choose or look for good songs. nothing stands out, nothing is catchy. this album seems like someone said "it's time to put out another album because the contract says one has to be released this year". all involved should be ashamed, not even one good song... i will think twice from now on before purchasing a tim mcgraw album.
